Reproductions: A Rare Helping Hand
Reproductions is an invaluable resource to actors in New York City, and one I didn't know existed for most of my first 3 and a half years here. If anyone else out there spent the last few years painstakingly slicing your 8.5" x 11" headshots with scissors and a ruler and being given the fish-eye by casting directors as you hand them your mangled picture and resume, do yourself a favor and save up the money to get that work done for you at Reproductions. Not only are they considered the industry standard, but the customer service is uniquely tailored to actors and their needs. Just today I was ordering some postcards, and the woman on the phone walked me through the entire design process as well as orchestrating a rush-order ahead of the July 4th holiday. They already had digitized versions of my pictures in their database from my original headshot order, and within an hour she had emailed me proofs of the postcard, which will be available for pick up tomorrow afternoon.
It's rare in this business that you find an organization that works that hard for actors rather than against them, is it not?
